Why is the main background texture chosen? The bleached white background represents old paper or parchment, which we feel is appropriate for the "Living Bulletin." God's word was originally written on parchment and then collected into what we know as the bible.

Why is the color black used on some admin area headers? Church clergy often wear black to symbolize humility, the call to live simply and the pursuit of virtues befitting the clerical office. It also symbolizes penitence and mourning... or the call to “take up your cross and follow me” (cf. Mt 16:25). Black is a reminder that Christians live not for themselves, but for a greater reality: life with God.
